“Norma NormaL” is about ecological living, regardless where we are.
Printed in pre-Covid 2020, this book follows Norma, a quirky child who navigates suburban living from the standpoint that she is a part of her ecosystem and her body knows best. Norma’s unorthodox ways carry a relatable wisdom, and are bound to cause some reconsideration of what “normal” actually means.
The book ends with 10 pages of “Hints for…Radical Ecological Play”
Norma’s unorthodox behavior brings a lot of questions. How would I safely eat insects (if I felt so inclined)? What are good ways to decimate our family’s waste stream? How do I embrace otherwise uncomfortable weather? These are just a few questions tackled in 12 sections. Information includes citations, links, and excerpts from the author’s personal experiences. Pages are edged with fanciful sketches.
